York Street Update!

Tonight at the monthly CB2 Transportation & Public Safety meeting, the MTA presented the results of their long awaited Feasibility Study for adding a second and ADA compliant Entrance at York Street. The good news is it CAN be done. The bad news is the projected costs are VERY high. One version could cost $260MM and another version could cost $450MM. This project is not in the MTA 2020-2024 Capital Budget. We hope to make it a priority for the next 5 year plan. The MTA will be holding a town hall style meeting this summer with residents and local officials to answer questions and hopefully help us move this project forward.

DAC will provide more information as soon as we know it.
